It is the largest and most imposing fortress of Northern Italy. It was considered impregnable. It is named after the ducal dynasty, who ruled Milan in Renaissance age: the Sforza. In its spacious courtyards you can retrace part of the history of the Duchy of Milan. Inside there are no longer the ducal apartments, but here are located many museums and libraries, including the Museum of Ancient Art, the Museum of the Pietà Rondanini by Michelangelo, the Egyptian Museum, the Art Gallery, the Museum of musical instruments.
